Fix everything that you may need repair before you leave. In that way you will not be held responsible for it, which would lead your landlord to withhold your deposit.
When you are satisfied that the apartment is cleaned, have the landlord come over to make a thorough walkthrough. Insist that the landlord sees every room and every crevice so that the end result would be that the place will be impeccable enough for him to return your deposit. Hire a moving container or storage pods company to hold your stuff during your apartment inspection so the unit is less cluttered.
